City Clerk - Election Information

November 2, 2010 General Municipal Election

A General Municipal Election will be held in the City of Campbell on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 to elect three City Councilmembers each to a four year term. Under the City’s term limits, Councilmember Evan Low is eligible to run for one more four-year term and Councilmembers Dan Furtado and Jane Kennedy are not eligible to run for another term. Nomination papers will be available at the City Clerk’s Office beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, July 12, 2010 and ending at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2010. Should an eligible incumbent not file for re-election, the nominating period will be extended by 5 calendar days to August 11, 2010 (5:00 p.m.).

Prior to soliciting or receiving campaign contributions, a candidate must file Form 501, Candidate Intention Statement, with the City Clerk. The form is available at the City Clerk’s Office or can be downloaded from the Fair Political Practices website @ www.fppc.ca.gov.
